wasabi tuna salad
Inspiration for this meal came solely from a side of leftover quality wasabi. Also, by choosing to turn this into a big salad, I only had to buy one tuna steak for two people.
Tuna:
-Fresh tuna steak
-1 tbsp. wasabi
-2 tbsp. soy sauce
-2 tbsp. rice wine vingear
-1 tbsp. sesame oil
-1 tsp. ginger
Marinate tuna for about 15 minutes. Pan-sear the tuna in a skillet for about 2 minutes on each side. Make sure to add a coating of oil and heat the pan to high heat. If you're lucky enough to have a grill, even better!Salad:
-romaine lettuce
-bell peppers
-basil
P.S. the picture doesn't do much justice...it was really delicious!
-basil
-avocado
Wasabi soy vinegarette:
-same as marinade but adjust wasabi based on taste preference
-plus 2 tbsp. of olive oil P.S. the picture doesn't do much justice...it was really delicious!
